2x SigmaDSP controlled from single SigmaStudio
Hi Guys,
Can I connect two SigmaDSPs to single SigmaStudio and work with both simultaneously?...
My idea is to build a system with two SigmaDSP processors and control it using single SigmaStudio environment. Can I connect two USBi interfaces and over each USBi connect a separate SigmaDSP evaluation board and create an audio flow using both SigmaDSPs / USBis simultaneously? Can SigmaStudio communicate with two USBis simultaneously?
Cheers,
Tomasz
Hi Tomasz,
You won't be able to connect two USBi's at the same time, because they won't enumerate properly, but you can still control multiple SigmaDSP Eval Boards at once! As long as you're controlling all of them over I2C and they have different addresses, then just use a ribbon cable with multiple plugs to connect to each eval board. You can either create your own by getting some ribbon cable and crimp-on connectors, or contact me at tyler.krome@analog.com and I can get you some details on how/where to purchase one.
Regards,
Tyler
Hello Tomasz,
You also should read this applications note. It explains how to address multiple SigmaDSPs.
