SteMMo Question

Hello everybody,

I'm a brand new developer of Analog DSPs and I'm studying the documents.

We own the EZLiteKit board with the ADSP21489 chip.

I followed some examples using the SigmaStudio but now my question is:

how can i change my (simple) project to move toward a 'standalone mode' (no SPI communication) of the board?

I suppose the SSn and parameters will move to the Flash memory but how can i achieve that?

Do I need an external chip to boot from Flash memory?

Thanks,

regards

PS: is it possible to build a 'standalone' module by the SigmaStudio or do I absolutely need the VisualDSP++ tool???

HI SteMMo

I think you will have to write your question on the SigmaStudio for Sharc forum. What you are trying to do in the SigmaDSP should be fairly easy if you use a DSP that has self boot. SigmaStudio will guide you through that process, relatively quickly.

The ADAU144x, ADAU145x and ADAU1701 have self boot and do not require Visual DSP.

The Sharc works differently from the SigmaDSP and it's better if you post this question in that forum.

Regards

Miguel
