What is the proper way to use the beamforming block with more than 3 microphones?

I am using the Griffith's Jim Beamforming block. I would like to use it with a linear array of 6 microphones. This post SigmaDSP Two Microphone Beamformer implies that the block can be cascaded, but I have not found a configuration that performs well.

Can you give us some more detail?
What is the spacing of the mics you are using?
Why are you using 6 mics?
What kind of room, or space, are the mics in and how large is it?
How far away from the mics is the person of interest?
How noisy is the environment and how reverberant?
