ADAU1772 IBIS model - is there an updated version being released?
Hello ADI Tech Support,
The IBIS model for the ADAU1772 is missing a lot of the parameters that the Cadence Sigrity tools expects. Is there a new IBIS model in the works for the ADAU1772?
Thanks,
Chris

Hello Chris,
No, no plans to update the model. The model we use is tested using the Hyperlynx tool and is supposed to adhere to. Here is what the lab we use specifies for the models:
The IBIS models will pass the IBIS Golden Parser with no un-documented warning and will generate no error messages from the parser. All models will also successfully parse into ICX FloorPlanner. All models will be simulated in Hyperlynx LineSim.
So I would like to see the details of the error messages that are produced by the Cadence tools. I will look into what would be involved to fix this issue.
Thanks
Dave T
Hello Chris,
Did you ever obtain an output of the error messages?

Prehaps I have met the same problems. The Error message is shown on the picture below.
If I click 确定(yes),it appears next picture below:
Is there something wrong in the IBIS model ?
Could you please give me some solutions on how to solve it ?
Thank you!
Hello LillyL,
I asked the company that produces the IBIS files for us. They did mention that there are some issues with some of the older IBIS tools. They ran the file through several versions of the IBIS parser and was able to come up with a similar error message by running the file through a revision 4.0 parser with the version number in the file set to version 4.1. This makes sense since a revision 4.0 will know nothing of a revision 4.1 file. The actual file should be fine.
So he suspects that you may be using an older version of the parser. So he suggests going into the file and changing the version in the text. Here are the instructions:
Change version number on line 5 in the file from this:

I suspect this will get rid of the error message. Also, there are some issues with older versions of the Cadence tools. The Cadence tools were expecting all of the VT tables to have the same number of points covering the same time span. But that is not a requirement in the IBIS Specification. They fixed this issue a few years ago.
Give this a try.
