ADAU1452 stand alone - operate without a PC
Processor: ADAU1452
I am using the Evaluation board EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ.
My code has been saved in EEPROM for self-boot operation. So upon Power-up or Reset, it starts running the code successfully. However, As soon as I unplug the EVAL-USB2Z from my PC, so that the board is only connected to Input/ output audio and DC power supply, it stops.
Can EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ work without being connected to the PC?

Hello,
Yes, if you unplug the USBi from a running EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ, the processor stops. This doesn't happen, for example, with the ADAU1701-based boards we make where I work. Possibly the difference is that our boards connect only ground and the two I2C lines from the USBi, while the EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ connects most of the 10 USBi pins.
I have been able to get my EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ to self-boot and run a project independently by following this procedure:
Link-Compile-Download and Write the Compilation to E2PROM (you've done these already)
Follow the instructions below (from Page 18 of the EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ manual) exactly:
In other words, even though your board stops running when you disconnect the USBi, go ahead and with S2 enabled, press the RESET or cycle power. Your ADAU1452 will self-boot and run on its own.
Best regards,
Bob
