EVAL-ADAU1701MINIZ external switches/LEDs
Hey,
I am a beginner with SigmaStudio DSPs and up till now everything has worked quite well, but now I have run into a problem:
I am using the EVAL-ADAU1701MINIZ and was wondering if it is possible to use external LEDs / switches to control the DSP? Since the whole board should be placed inside a box I will neither be able to use the provided switches nor see the LEDs. But if I have read the schematics correctly, all the Multipurpose Pins are already in use.
Any help would be greatly aprecciated,
Fabian

Hello Fabian,
You are correct -- all of the multipurpose pins are already assigned on the evaluation board. Depending on the number of switches and LEDs that you need, your best bet would probably be to carefully desolder the existing push-button switches, then re-solder on wire leads to the switches or LEDs you want to put outside the box. That would give you access to MP3, MP2, and MP7.
If you need to connect more than three devices, you could also remove the potentiometer and LEDs D4, D5, and D6.
Also, when you connect a new device, refer to the user guide to make sure that your GPIO settings in SigmaStudio are set correctly for that type of device (for example, set switches to "Input GPIO Debounce", etc.)
Hope this helps!
Tyler
Hey,
thanks for your fast reply. Guess I'll give it a try tomorrow
