Hello

I want to design some sigma dsp project.

In this project external MCU should write data to the spi slave port of sigma dsp (adau1450).

For some reason I can't find a spi slave block in the sigma dsp studio.

Have anyone deal with this issue?

Thanks

Hello Dany,

The ADAU1450 cannot write to its slave port so that is why you cannot find a block to do this.

You can write to the master port. Those routines are rather limited at the moment but hopefully soon we will have updates for them. Keep a look out for that with future updates.

Thanks,

Thanks Dave.

But my question was about reading a slave spi port from adau1450.

External microcontroller writes an information to this port.

Dany

Hello Dany,

The external microcontroller can read any memory location and any register in the part. So I do not understand what you are trying to read? If you want to imbed some number, like a revision number, into the SigmaStudio project that the microcontroller can read, then use a DC cell. You enter the DC value into your SigmaStudio project and so it ends up as a constant in memory once the program is loaded. When the project compiles you can see the address of the DC cell and the microcontroller can read the cell directly.

If you are looking for a block that allows the controller to read, there is none. The slave port is always active and able to read the memory contents.

Does this help answer your question?
