Hi

I am a beginner to DSP/Programming. I am very interested in using the sigmastudio compatable processors such as the ADAU1452 and ADAU1450. Is it possible to use external ram from within sigma studio? I would like to make a delay effect with more than 800ms of delay. I will apologize in advance if this is an obvious/very easy question, I just feel like I am missing something!! Thanks

Hi Nathan.

If you are sampling @ 44.1 kHz, the part has internal memory of 40k words. You should be able to fit close to 800 ms in internal memory.

There is a block element that was recently added to allow for SPI RAM access. Please let us know if you cannot find it.

Hi Miguel

Didnt realize I was a few software versions behind! Found it!
Are there any recommended SPI Ram chips to start with? I am planning on ordering the ADAU1452 development board and am hoping the interfacing will be easy.

Thanks!
