Hi everybody,

i have a question about the export files. I want to recalculate the parameters Frequenc1, Boost, Gain1, Ripple etc. of 2nd Order Filters by using the coefficients b0, b1, b2, a1 and a2, which are saved in the * .params file after i export the files. To make this recalculation i need to know which filter type (Peaking Filter, Tone High Shelf,.....) was set is SigmaStudio. It is possible to detect this filter type in the export files?

Example: One Peaking Filter

Design 1.params:

Cell Name = Param EQ1
Parameter Name = PEQ1Chan10B1
Parameter Address = 0
Parameter Value = 1.00168943405151
Parameter Data :
0x00 , 0x80 , 0x37 , 0x5C ,

Cell Name = Param EQ1
Parameter Name = PEQ1Chan11B1
Parameter Address = 1
Parameter Value = -1.99559164047241
Parameter Data :
0x0F , 0x00 , 0x90 , 0x74 ,

Cell Name = Param EQ1
Parameter Name = PEQ1Chan12B1
Parameter Address = 2
Parameter Value = 0.993968844413757
Parameter Data :
0x00 , 0x7F , 0x3A , 0x5F ,

Cell Name = Param EQ1
Parameter Name = PEQ1Chan11A1
Parameter Address = 3
Parameter Value = 1.99559164047241
Parameter Data :
0x00 , 0xFF , 0x6F , 0x8C ,

Cell Name = Param EQ1
Parameter Name = PEQ1Chan12A1
Parameter Address = 4
Parameter Value = -0.995658397674561
Parameter Data :
0x0F , 0x80 , 0x8E , 0x44 ,

HI Eric:

No, there is no way for detecting the filter type unless you rename the Cell name with the type itself. This information is higher level information used internally to Sigmastudio. Again, the only solution I see to your problem is to rename the cell name with the filter type you need to use.

Let me know if this is not clear.

Hello mmmike,

many thanks for the quick response. So i will rename the Cell name to solve my problem. But i have another question, maybe you can answer this question too. Is it possible to get/export a list of set values in SigmaStudio, or is this also higher level information? I don't mean the parameters of coefficients b0, b1, b2....., i mean the values i set at Frequency1, Boost, Gain1 etc. On Figure 1, I have highlighted the values which in mean.

kind regards,

Eric

Hi Eric:

Currently not, but it's a good feature request. I'll see if we add that into potential future releases.

Hi there, our company is also working a lot with Sigma Studio.

For us, it would also be VERY useful to have ALL setvalues (human readable values / raw values / edit values / like frequency, Q factor, Gain, Boost, Mute active/deactive, etc.) of each effect block (Filters, Muxes, Reverb, etc.) exported in "*.params" and/or "*.h".

Because we sometimes need them in our uC programm, which controlls some parameters of the ADAU-DSP in real-time.

Is it possible to export these values?

Kind regards,

Andy
