Hello Dave,

my customer has a 5.1Ch input source and will like to pump into the EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ via S/PDIF.

However 5.1Ch input source being an encoded signal source (and not already in Dolby/DTS format), can we feed it directly to the EVAL-ADAU1452MINIZ? Or do we need a converter before feeding the signal?

Hello Andreas,

I split off this question into a new thread. I will also move it over to the SigmaDSP section of the forum.

It is my understanding that you can take a DTS encoded SPDIF signal and decode it internally in the SigmaDSP and then output the discrete 5.1 audio. You will need to obtain a license from Dolby/DTS before we can send you any modules for doing this.

I am not sure if the DTS code has been ported to the ADAU1452 at this time. Someone else on the team will be able to answer this for you. They are all busy right now so I cannot get the answer right this moment.

Hello Dave,

My customer has the Dolby/DTS and could you link me up with your teammate who can advise if the DTS code has been ported into ADAU1452?

Thank you in advance.

Hello Dave,

The same customer is asking if Dolby pro logic 2x,2e is available for ADAU1452?

Also can they do a 2 channel up mix to 5.1?
