ADAU145x I2C Master Port
Hello!
I see in the ADAU145x there is a way to use the I2C control port to configure peripherals. i was wondering if it's possible to use the I2C port during operation as well. For example, i want to run an algorithm on the ADAU145x DSP and i want to have an external digital temperature sensor that i want to poll periodically to check the temperature of the voice coil of a speaker.
Is it possible to use the master control port to read (either continuously or periodically) during operation, not only during configuration?
Thanks!

Hi Rene:
If your sensor has an analog output, you can simply use the Aux ADC. If not you need to find if your sensor has an I2C or SPI interface. In either case the 145x has I2C or SPI Master capabilities. Yes, this works at runtime (during operation)
Hope this helps.
Miguel
Hi Miguel,
the sensor has an I2C port only and i want to use that as part of the program to go to an LUT.
thanks for the response, in SigmStudio 11 i see only the Master Control Port I/O under master control port -> startup boot. Is there a different block in SigmaStudio that i should be look for to implement this feature?
Thanks!
