Using Sigma Studio 3.11 with EVAL-ADUSB2EBUZ to communicate with my DSP2 chip. I get an error message whenever I click "Link Compile Download" in Sigma Studio, which I have attached. The EVAL board lights up, so I think it is properly attached to my computer. I've tried different computers with both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 and they all get the same error message. Device Manager in Windows shows that USBi installed correctly on each computer.

Any ideas on what the problem might be? I'm thinking it could be a bad cable but I want to know if it could be something else.

Thanks.

Hello Nathan,

Usually when I get this error it is because there is some communication issue with the part. I either would have no power to the part, or set to SPI when it needs to be I2C or something like that. Something on the SPI or I2C lines preventing communications with the part. I have found power jumpers missing so that the eval board is powered but the part is not. So if this was in front of me that is what I would be checking first.

Perhaps you could take a picture of your setup?
