Thread Summary

The user encountered issues with the ISIB (Index Selectable Ind. Band Filter) on the ADAU1452, experiencing distorted output even with filters disabled or flat. The issue was resolved when the EQ hierarchy board from the user's project was tested on a new setup with the ADAU1452 eval board, confirming the 32.0 DC input format is correct. The problem likely lies elsewhere in the original project.

Hi All,

I have tried to implement ISIB (Index Selectable Ind. Band Filter) in ADAU1701 and I have no problems with it. Now, it seems like the ADAU1452 DC block input is causing confusion on the filter index select pin because output seems weird and distorted even if the index filter has its filters disabled or flat . Tried 32.0 and 28.4 DC input formats to no avail. On the ADAU1701 the 28.0 format works perfectly. Is this a bug on the numbering format or just me being having a mistake implementing?

Regards,

Dan

Hello Dan,

That sounds weird.

I tried a simple schematic to test it, and it did work on our side.

Is it possible that you could share your schematic or any schematic on where you find this problem, with us?

Wilfrido.

Hi Wilfrido,

Thanks for your quick response and it's good to know it's working on your side. What is the DC input format you tried?

I still fail to recognize where is the problem. I have attached my sigmastudio program. Please click on the EQ tab in the schematic.

Regards,

Dan

Hello Daniel,

Your DC source's 32.0 (integer) format is correct. I pasted the EQ hierarchy board from your project into a new one set up to run on the -1452 eval board. it runs fine there, so there must be something else going on in your original project.

Best regards,

Bob
