To AD support team,

Does this single chip supports multi channel delay, say 0-200mS variable delay per channel in a 8 channel output configuration using external memory, or the delay function is limited to just one channel only?

If not then can you recommend which other chip from ADI dsp series will do this job?

Am I asking something which shouldn't be asked ?

Or is the answer so difficult to answer

Can anyone answer my question please?

you can do multichannel delay using this IC. What's your sampling rate?

This will help dictate the internal memory requirements. There is also an external SPI memory access library.

Please comment.

48khz and I can use external memory also I think.

now much total delay do you need?

Variable set from pot-->>0-400mS full bandwidth per channel, if possible 8 channels total

With internal memory you have 40k samples to distribute using internal memory (~1s). A newer part coming soon will allow you to do (~2s reunning @ 44.1kHz).

If this is not enough you can use external memory. although there is a bandwidth limit on how many channels you can access simultanouly using SPI.

Thanks Miguel,

Lets suppose if I add external memory upto 1mb thru SPI interface, how to estimate the bandwidth limit or in other words how many full bandwidth channels will it support for 400mS delay per channel?

When to expect the newer part to arrive and be made available for customers to test?

200mS per channel, 4 channels total
