Greetings!

I'm working in an ADAU1445 Sigma DSP. My application generates a boolean logic signal in 8.24 ('fractional') format, and I'd like to use that signal to drive an index-selectable MUX, which requires a 32.0 ('integer') format control signal. I've found that I can use the 'AB-in / CD-out' condition block to convert between them (see attached), but I'm wondering if there's a better or more efficient way. Any advice?

Thanks and Regards,

Peter

Hello Peter,

Try a Buffer Gate as shown below. Its output is a 1 in whatever format you choose (defaults to integer 32.0) for any nonzero input, and a zero when its input is zero.

Best regards,

Bob
