SigmaStudio v3.12.1 on Windows XP
** ADI no longer supports Windows XP
So does this mean the latest version won't run on XP? I actually installed it and it won't run.
I would hate to not have the latest version running just because I am still using XP.
Hello KKSL,
I pulled out my XP laptop and tried 3.12.1 -- it installed fine but didn't run. Are you getting the same error message I see?
BTW -- where I work we have many computer-controlled machines for electronics assembly. Regardless of age, nearly every one runs either XP or Linux. It appears that machine manufacturers like to stay with something that's proven reliable.
Best regards,
Bob
Hello Bob,
Thanks for joining.
In my case too, it installs fine but does not run.
I do not get any error message window.
Just that NOTHING happens.
I request ADI to continue to support XP.
I am also still on XP but I haven't tried 3.12 yet. I work with -1701 and -1772, which don't seem to get much in terms of updates, so I'll probably stay where I am for a while. And this is probably a stupid question, but why is every release a beta? I think the last "official" release was 3.8.2?
I have a new mobo waiting for a W8 build, but I never seem to get time for it, I'd rather spend it coding DSP!
Any updates from the development team?
Thanks in advance!!
Hi all:
This problem has been resolved. An updated version will be uploaded into the web site Friday of Next week. In the mean time, I'll be asking some of the staff to post a patch into this thread.
Thank you

It can be easily fixed by replacing the attached dll.
Let us know if that indeed fixed it.
Wilfrido.
SigmaStudio v3.12.1 and the server update didn't work for me. Is there a newer version for Windows XP / SP3?
With XP service pack 3 the problem also remains replacing the DLL, are there new updatings?
This fix does not work on Windows 7 professional.
Any news on this issue?
