I2S audio input, DAC output

You are correct. The ADAU1701 has integrated ADCs and DACS but also a full bi-directional I2S/TDM interface. Through SigmaStudio it is easy to route ADC data out to I2S TX outputs, as well as read I2S RX data to any of the DACs.

The input/output cell descriptions up on the Wiki page should help explain things a bit on how to route the audio. Refer to the ADAU1701 tables.
