1452 SPDIF Problem
Hi,
I use 1452 on my target board. The output of I2S is normal when the input is from SPDIF receiver and the room temperature is 20~25℃.But The output of I2S starts to be abnormal, even no output ,when the input is from SPDIF receiver and the room temperature is near 0℃.What's more,it can't turn to be normal itself when the room temperature rises up to 20~25℃. The output turns to be normal only when power up again and restart the DSP. However, the output of I2S is always normal when the input is from I2S, even the room temperature is near 0℃.Can you tell me why?

Hi Alex,
A few questions:
1. You are running at 48 or 96 kHz on SPDIF receiver? (we do not support 192 kHz).
2. Can you explain the data corruption on the I2S output? Is it a channel swap, bit shift, stuck bits, random noise? Is it possible to provide a scope capture?
3. Does the same thing happen on the EVAL-ADAU1452-MINZ board? Or is it not possible to run the project on the eval board (i.e. you are using an external codec as a clock master).
4. Can you provide a stripped down SigmaStudio project which includes all of your register settings?
5. What happens if you power down and power back up the ASRCs? Does this make the problem go away. I am wondering if the problem is not with the SPDIF receiver but with the ASRC path into the core.
6. Can your provide your schematics for your target board?

Hi John,
1. I'm running at 48 or 96 kHz on SPDIF receiver.
2. It sounds like stuck bits at first. After a second, sometimes it turns to normal. Then,it stuck bits and turns to normal again. This phenomen lasts some seconds. Or it stuck bits at first ,then doesn't generate any sound. What's more, if I power down the target board for half an hour or more time, the phenomen above also exists.
3. I use an external codec as a clock master ,so I can't the project on the eval board.
5. Because some modules used in my project are not found in the Sigmastudio of V3.10, I use the Sigmastudio of V3.11. However, there is no SPDIF input module in the Sigmastudio of V3.11.So I don't know whether it is the problem with the SDPIF receiver or the ASRC path into the core.
4&6. Sorry ,I can't.
Best Regards,
Alex
