Sigma Studio installation problems with Windows 8

Hello

I am trying to install Sigma Studio onto a Windows 8 machine and whilst running through the "copying files" part of the installation I get the error message:-

Error 1320. The specified path is too long c:\users\Adrian\My Documents\Analog Devices

I have the option to "retry" but this gives the same error, the other option is "Cancel" which stops the installation.

Is there anything I can do that will allow me to install the Sigma Studio application ? I have tried running the install as an administrator.

Hi Adrian,

Is your Windows-8 computer on a network? Often, a network maps your My Documents folder to the server for backup purposes, but this causes the install to fail with the "path too long" error. Please see

Hi Adrian,

SigmaStudio v3.10.4 should work with Windows 8. It should be posted on our download page any day.

Yes you were correct, the "My Documents" folder is mapped to a server location within the company system. I followed the workaround and have got the system up and running.
