The recently released ADAU1452 is an available target device in Sigma Studio 3.10 beta. This SS version also includes ADAU1450 and 1451 as possible target devices. However, I don't see any information on the latter two part numbers on the ADI website. I'm curious how these two parts compare to the 1452, and what the timeline for availability is. Thanks!

Hi Peter:

Those two parts are very similar to the 1452 with lower mips and lower number of ASRC. they will be releasing soon (don't know the exact date), if you design with the 1452, these parts will be pin compatible. The differences are simlar to the ones between the 1442 and the others 144x parts

Let me know if you need further details.

Miguel

Thanks Miguel,

I assumed about as much, but it's good to know that the devices are pin compatible. If there is a version without ASRCs, we may opt for that since our design is synchronous.

Hi Peter:

If my memory serves me well, the one that doesn't have sample rate converters also runs at half speed. If you want to run the full 300MHz (292MHz to be exact) you might need the one with the fewer sample rate converters. An maybe use them for something else?

Regards

Miguel

Hi Miguel,

Small correction to your post. Full speed is 294.912 MHz. Half speed would be 147.456 MHz.
