DSP Newbie needs starter kit
I have an application for ultrasonic echo location robotics sensor which has 4 microphone inputs (preferably analog so I can make sense of the inputs)
The received U/S signals are 25khz, and need enough memory for 10ms recording(4 channels). Purchasing one of the kits would be preferred, as I can plug in my array of mic's and get up to speed on the tool-chain.
Any recommendations on a particular kit? I see the ADAU17xx19xx have enough inputs, but they are TDM inputs.
Any recommendations are appreciated.

Hi Sam,
Can you describe in a little more detail what you mean by "recording" for 10 ms? SigmaDSPs have data memory which can be used as a delay line. You could, for example, average the level of a signal over the course of 10 ms. However, there isn't any way to store that data into permanent memory within the SigmaDSP. SigmaDSP is basically a sample-by-sample processor, meaning that it takes samples in, processes them, and outputs them. Data memory can be used to delay the output, but not really to "record" the data. Does that make sense?
Most of our evaluation boards that support microphones unfortunately only have 2 channels for microphone inputs. It might be possible to combine two boards to get the four channels you need, but before we start in that direction, please describe a little more about your application.
Thanks!
Brett
