In 1761 application , I saw a macro:

/* Register Default - IC 1.Delay */

#define R4_DELAY_IC_1_ADDR 0x0

#define R4_DELAY_IC_1_SIZE 2

ADI_REG_TYPE R4_DELAY_IC_1_Default[R4_DELAY_IC_1_SIZE] = {

0x00, 0x64

};

SIGMA_WRITE_DELAY( DEVICE_ADDR_IC_1, R4_DELAY_IC_1_SIZE, R4_DELAY_IC_1_Default );

My issue is that:

1. this is just a time delay function ?

2. the sub-address is 0x0000?

3. if this is a delay function , can I use my time delay function to replace this macro?

Meican.

Hello Meican,

1. Yes, this is just a time delay.

2. There is no real subaddress, but we had to add one. 0x0000 is just a placeholder. It would be more appropriate if we could fill that field with "N/A".

3. Yes, that's the intended use of this delay function.

Thanks,

Brett
