Hi!

Again a question appeared, now about the USB connection, I just wanted to clarify it a bit. According to the 1701miniz datasheet schematics, out of total 10 pins, by means of which the miniz board is connected to a PC, only 4 are used, right? SCL,SDA,GND and BRD_RST. So does it mean that if I make my own board, I can use a smaller 4-pin connector? Also, on the figure, right above the pin 2 it is written "usb_clk", what does it refer to? I am just a bit confused...

Thanks in advance!

If you are using I2C as your communications protocol, then you only need SDA, SCL, and GND.

BRD_RST allows you to reset the target board using SigmaStudio, if you want to have this feature. This isn't a requirement, it's just optional.

The USB_CLK was never implemented. We thought that we could generate a nice master clock signal to clock the target board from the PC, but it turns out that the clock frequency was too low and the jitter was too high, so it wasn't a suitable quality to use as a master clock.
