Hello,

In order to answer this question, we need some more detail. Can you please give some more details about the nature of the signal?

What is the bandwidth of the signal?

What is the noise floor of the signal?

Will there be other frequency components in the signal besides 32.768 kHz?

Do you need to detect the presence of the signal, or the level?

Hello

•What is the bandwidth of the signal?

[Paul] The signal bandwidth will be 20Hz to 33KHz.

•What is the noise floor of the signal?

[Paul] The signal noise floor is the generally sound system specification.

•Will there be other frequency components in the signal besides 32.768 kHz?

[Paul] Yes, it will be combine audio signal.

•Do you need to detect the presence of the signal, or the level?

[Paul] Yes, I need to detect presence of the signal.

Thank you.

I moved this to the SigmaDSP section, since the question is regarding a SigmaDSP product.

In order to get a bandwidth of up to 33 kHz, you will need to configure the ADAU1701 to run at a 96 kHz sampling rate. You can do that by following this tutorial: https://ez.analog.com/docs/DOC-1431

An easy way to detect the energy in a given band is to use a narrow bandpass filter:

You can then take the average or peak level of the signal passing through the bandpass filter in order to determine if the signal reaches a certain level:
