Hi,

You may wish to try an experiment -- Temporarily replace your serial input with a sine wave oscillator (in the toolbox under Sources / Oscillators) set for the same frequency. Then examine the output again, to see if the problem is in your -1701's DAC, or maybe it's having trouble reading the input data stream.

Best regards,

Bob

Hi,

I agree that Bob's experiment will help place the problem within the ADAU1701, or outside the ADAU1701; it is a great first step. The regularity to the dropouts implies that you have an issue with I2S clocks not resolving correctly. Would it be possible for you to post your SigmaStudio project and your complete product schematic? We can open a private discussion if you are not comfortable posting this information in a public environment.

Best regards,

Coleman

Thanks for your reply. I2S signal looks like some distortion. I use the CPU 's MCLK ,It works well.
