Hi All,

Please take a look at the attached pic, what is the result ?

A DC cell in 28.0 format multiples a aux ADC data maybe in 5.23 format. What is the result ?

Take an example,

assume DC cell is 10 , aux ADC in is 0.45678. What is the multiple result ?

4/5/4.5678 or other ?

Why the readback cell doesn't work ?

Thank you !

The readback registers for the ADAU1701 only have 24 bits, not 28 bits, so the bottom 4 bits will be truncated. You can read more about SigmaDSP number formats here:

Even though the readback cell is not showing the value, this circuit will still work if you connect it to the rest of your signal flow.

If you want to be able to read back the value (for debugging purposes), you could change the multiplier from 10 (28.0 format) to 10 (24.4 format), and then change the DSP Readback cell to 24.0 format. That should let you read back the value properly.

Hi BrettG,

Thanks a lot. I learned it.
