I have tried using the of the miniDSP parts a while back and the gui interface isn't nearly as straight forward. I remember something about having to manage partitioning the processing in different parts of the processor on the TI part manually. There was also and issue where the graphical programming environment for the miniDSP parts didn't seem to offer the ability to manipulate the chip settings (adc, dac, analog front ends, ect). Perhaps I was missing something but I didn't get enough time to look into things further and the parts didn't offer all the options I needed.I believe SigmaStudio has a wider range of processing blocks available. You may find TI parts might be cheaper if that is a factor.
