Hi,

I have a quesiton about ADAU144x.

In Table 18 of Page 31 of the datasheet, there is description about Fs (BCLK Cycles per Frame).

In my understanding, the description of this table is applied for only Master mode.

So, I want to input the 32Fs (Lch 16bit/Rch16bi) data of TDM2 in Slave mode, is it possible?

Best Regards, TomY

Hi,

About this matter, I found a part which seems to be a related explanation in Page 39 of the datasheet "Restrictions".

-> "Each channel has a frame of 32 bits."

From this explanation and Table 18, I guess that 64Fs (64 BCLK Cycles per Frame) is needed in TDM2 for Slave mode or Master mode.

Therefore, I think that 32Fs (Lch 16bit/Rch16bi) input data of TDM2 is not possible.

Is my understanding correct?

Best Regards, TomY

Hi TomY,

Yes, that's correct. The ADAU144x has the limitation that audio frames need to be 32 BCLK cycles per channel. So 16 BCLK/frame mode (32 BCLK cycles for 2 channels) is not possible.

Hi, BrettG

Thank you for your answer.

I'll change the input format to 64Fs.

Best Regards,
