Hi,
I keep getting unhandled exceptions in Sigmstudio when I attempt to do link and download. Sometimes, after creating a new project, it will connect, but as I add the bits I want, at some point, it just breaks, and then appears to be stuck with the unhandled exception, at least until I shut it down and restart. Very, very frustrating, with no clue (at least to the user) as to what the cause is.

I think it's related to where the project is saved. It doesn't seem to like being saved on the D drive. Only likes being in the user directory on C drive (i'm running win 7 64). If I save it on the C drive in the default user dir, it seems to work.

Thanks. I think SigmaStudio somehow "prefers" to use the user directory, which is on the C drive by default, so perhaps this is somehow not accounted for if the installation is on another drive. I will inform the team.

I havnt't tried other locations, but saving directly to internal disk (D drive) appeared to not work, wheras saving to C:\user\myusername\ appeared to work. When it started working, I stopped looking

OK. The software team informs me that you should be able to put it anywhere, even on a network drive, but I guess the best thing to do at this point would be to close this issue and just give the software team a heads up.

I used to only see this error when I would forget that I was working on a file that was on a flash drive... I've recently noticed thatI get this error when ever I have a large project file, or just randomly at this point. My current program is 4 switches to control 4 GPIO pins, stored in the "C:\Dorcuments and Settings\user\Desktop\SigmaStudio Software" and it is giving me this error, but it was working not long ago...
Same problem on XP SP3 while trying to use a dspproj file from a network share (which I have write access to). After finding this thread and moving the file to the C drive, it works. These bugs are really frustrating.
