Hello,

I just noticed that even in the latest version of Sigma Studio there is no RMS/StandardResolution/FullRange/NoPostGain/Mono/ExternalDetector block...

is there a specific reason for this or could it be included in next version?

Thanks

I confirmed that it doesn't exist in the current library. Did this exist in previous versions? I'm checking with the software team to see if it was somehow excluded from the latest build.

According to the software team, we never had a compressor that fit this description exactly. A Peak/Standard/FullRange/NoPostGain/Mono/ExternalDetector block will be added in the next release.

We have a standard range peak compressor that might fit your needs: RMS/Standard/LowerRange/NoPostGain/Mono/ExternalDetector

I have put in a request for an RMS/StandardResolution/FullRange/NoPostGain/Mono/ExternalDetector block...

thank you very much.

currently I have worked it around splitting the signal before the stereo compressor and merging it back after it.

but I presume a mono algorythm would be considerably lighter.

Yes, doing a split and feeding the same signal into both channels (followed by a merge at the output) is the best way to get mono functionality, but you do lose some instructions along the way. Well, at least I can say the mono version is now on the to-do list!
