I have put a USB IC on my product to allow test and calibration during pre-production and MP. For various reasons, it's not possible to hook the USBi dongle up to our product during final calibration.

Is it possible to obtain the firmware source for the USBi, so that I can clone it's functionality into my USB processor? I'm using a PIC, and the USBi uses a Cypress, so I won't be able to use the firmware straight out, but seeing it's source will allow me to port it to allow our manufacturing process to go as planned. I've already cloned the descriptors, but seeing what code is used for which endpoint will help a lot.

Hello,

is there any news and a more open approach from ADI on this subject ?

I m about to release a product for designers and manufacturers which could be updated by SigmaStudio prior to being pushed as a B2C product.

the product doesnot include an FX2LP which is too small for the other tasks needed but, a cortex M4.

I d like to implement the USBi descriptors and handle the "vendor commands" that are used by cypressUSB.dll and by ADI for writing reading over I2C or SPI. Is there a chance we can get part of the source code (like vendor command handling) in order to simulate some functionalities of USBi ?

I fully understand the context of SigmaStudio licence not being for end-user in thi respect.

providing us with this (like uder NDA) is a way for us to minimize devlopement time, instead of speding time sniffing USB trafic and finally getting it to work sooner or later

Apreciate your support in helping us to devlopp business arounf ADI DSPs
