Hi all,

is it possible to build up a parametric EQ (like a notch EQ) that can be changed in Q, gain and mid frequency by three sliding potentiometers (input via aux_ADCs) in the ADAU1701 ?

The ADAU1701 should be working as a stand alone unit without an uC and without connection to Sigma Studio.

regards

Bernd

I believe so. Use an algorithm block such as State Variable (Q/F input) as well as the ext volume control block, both of which will take inputs from the Aux_ADC inputs, and you will be done. Of course you will need SigmaStudio to create the code you will burn into the EEPROM which will then work wih the the ADAU1701 in self-boot mode but that is a one-time operation.

Dear Dr.Ram,

thank you for answering.

I'm using Sigma studio 3.3 and i can only find a state-variable filter

with Q-input to be controlled by aux-ADC.

Do you know further ?

kind regards

Bernd,

I recently installed Studio so I have 3.5. In fact I have been working on something quite similar!

In 3.5 you will find "State Variable(Q/F input)" under Filters->Miscellaneous and also a "Single Slew Ext Vol" control. I see that this state variable filter does not appear in the Help search, so possibly it is new in 3.5.

Best

Hello,

The State-Variable and State-Variable (Q input) cells are described in the help file. I attached screenshots of the help topics for your reference. Click on the image to expand it.
