ADAU1401A power line
Dear support team,
I have a question about power line.
ADAU1401A makes core voltate(1.8V) from 3.3V.
Q1:
If 3.3V power line goes down to arround 2.5V, is core voltage gone down? or does it remain 1.8V?
Q2:
At Q1 situation, if core voltage remains 1.8V, does ADAU1401A need external reset assertion or not?
(when 3.3V lien gose up to 3.3V from 2.5V, does ADAU1401A operation is normal without external reset assertion?)

Hello,
In the datasheet, the specifications are defined with the following statement:
Maximum specifications are measured across a temperature range of −40°C to +130°C (case), a DVDD range of 1.62 V to 1.98 V, and an AVDD range of 2.97 V to 3.63 V.
This means that the datasheet specifications are only guaranteed when AVDD is between 2.97 V and 3.63 V. The regulator output is guaranteed to be between 1.7 and 1.84 V for that AVDD range. So, the part has not been characterized with an AVDD of less than 2.97 V. Therefore, I think we cannot guarantee operation at AVDD < 2.97 V.
The datasheet does not indicate a certain minimum level for the guaranteed operation of the device, but it does state that characterization testing goes down to a minimum of 1.7 V for DVDD and 2.97 V for AVDD, so those appear to be the lower limits for our testing.
I’m sorry that the datasheet does not describe this more clearly.
Dear Brett-san,
Thank you very much for your supports.
Best regards,
Takehiro Yabune
