Linux driver for ADAV4622
Hello,
I am planning to develop IP settop box-like product which is also able to receive signal from TV tuner. ADAV4622 looks like the right part because it has SIF interface. However there is an issue about ADAV4622. The ADAV4622 must be controlled by linux-running host. That means I need linux device driver for ADAV4622. I wonder if ADI has linux driver for ADAV4622 or ADAV4622 has ever been interfaced to linux-running host up to now.

I was pulled into several high-priority, time-critical projects at work over the past few weeks and unfortunately I had to de-prioritize my participation in the forum as a result. So, I apologize for making you wait so long for an answer. I am going to try to respond to everybody's questions within the next few days.
The ADAV4622 is still supported by our advanced television (ATV) group based in Limerick, Ireland. So, I do not have experience with this device. I am unaware of the existence of a Linux driver for the ADAV4622.
I checked the Wiki and it does not exist on that page: http://wiki.analog.com/resources/tools-software/linux-drivers/sound
I have sent an email to the support team for the ADAV4622, so hopefully I will hear back from him soon.

I'm sorry, but I have some bad news. The product line in Ireland responded as follows:
We are going to change the part status to
No longer recommended for new designs. Linux drivers are not supported.
This means they will continue to support existing "legacy" designs, but they are going to ramp down their active promotion of the product.
So, unfortunately, I think you may have to look elsewhere for a device with an SIF interface.
