SigmaStudio 3.4- I am using a Ad9140 in my system. brett alreay helped me on one problem I was having. I am using the standard SigmaStudio generated header files. However, I find that I can not use any slew models ( clickless volume controls etc.) or nothing comes out of the AD1940.

I redid hte schematic to eliminate all the slew type contorls , but I have to comment out the slew ram write block function in the default_download fucntion to get the AD19490 to pass audio. It of course works fine in the EVAL board either way.

Anyone have any ideas.

The slew controls are a bit complicated to use. In the AD1940, they are assigned to dedicated hardware registers. I would suggest that you start by reading pages 20 to 23 in the AD1940 datasheet, which describe the operation and usage of the hardware slew registers. Please reply back to this thread if you have questions.

Brett,

The weird thing is that I am not do anything with the hardware slew registers. As I mentioned before , I am using the default download as is. Even though there are volueme controls in the signal chain, I am not trying to adjust anything in software. Even, with no slew controls, if I don't comment out the write_block to the slew registers , the AD1940 will not pass signal.

Could you attach your project, or a simplified version of it?
