Hi all,

I would like to set a communication between my ADAU1442 DSP and one µC like a PIC with a serial link for to interface a LCD display for example.

How i can do it with Sigma Studio ? I don't found the access to the serial links.

Thank you for your help,

The ADAU1442 is a slave on the I2C/SPI port. It cannot act as a master to program other ICs in the system. You will have to use the µC in order to interface with other peripherals.

Hello Everyone,

I am working in ADAU1442 DSP and I want to communicate with it with PIC16F877, where I want to glow led on Analog GPIO board in this project establish communication using i2c but after doing lots of coding it does not work, where is check i2c on analyzer and it read and write data But still it's glow led on GPIO board. I attach my both sigma studio and MPLAB project see them and please give some suggestion why it not works.

Thank you in Advance.

Hello shraddhasingh,

A few questions:

1) Are you able to get the SigmaDSP to turn on the LED by simply using SigmaStudio directly talking to the part?

2) Are you having the SigmaDSP selfboot or are you trying to load the program into the DSP from the PIC?

3) Are you able to read and write to the DSP registers from the PIC? You should be able to watch some variables to see them change on the PIC IDE.

Also, can you use the advanced editor (it is up on the right of the window) to attach the project files? I tend to question links to a Google drive.

Hello DaveThib,

Thanks for your suggestion on how to use the forum.

1) Yes, I am able to get the SigmaDSP to turn on the LED by directly using SigmaStudio.

2) I am trying to load the program into the DSP from the PIC.

3) For reading and writing to the DSP registers, I stablish I2C communication between PIC and DSP then checking this communication in Beagle i2c analyzer where i get read and write data.

But my SigmaStudio configures (HEX, DATA, PARAM files) project is still not working with PIC and DSP integration.
