file export memory refresh
please, urgently need memory refreshing on the file export.
I worked with the ADU1446 last year, succesfully exported files and implemented them in a microcontroller project.
In the _IC_1.h of the last year project I see the parameter RAM definitions and array:
#define PARAM_SIZE 564
#define PARAM_ADDR 0
ADI_REG_TYPE Param_Data[PARAM_SIZE] = {
......};
Also it was a function in the default_download() of this file:
SIGMA_WRITE_REGISTER_BLOCK( DEVICE_ADDR_IC_1, PARAM_ADDR, PARAM_SIZE, Param_Data );
When I export files now, I don't see the parameter RAM definitions and array (and can't find them anywhere).
Also, instead of the above function there is:
SIGMA_WRITE_REGISTER_BLOCK( DEVICE_ADDR_IC_1, _ADDR, _SIZE, _Data );
and compiler complains that _ADDR, _SIZE and _Data are not defined.
Even more, when I export the files for the last year project with the version of SigmaStudio I used that time,
I get the same results as now.
What am I missing ?
ok, I've figured it out.
Correct parameter RAM data are not exported after 'Link Compile Connect',
only after 'Link Compile Download'.
btw, SigmaStudio gives USB connection problem warning on 'Link Compile Connect',which is recommeded for working without hardware..
thanks everybody who was going to help
Link-Compile-Connect means the code will be compiled but not downloaded to the hardware, and a USB connection will be started with the hardware. This is useful if you want to change the parameters of code that is already known to be downloaded to the hardware without overwriting the entire program/parameter RAM contents. It's useful for making incremental changes during tuning.
I'll make a note in the help file that shows the output files will only be updated after a link-compile-download operation.
I am attending a technical conference this week so my further reponsess to this thread may be delayed.
