Hello guys.

First of all hello to all.

I want use a ADAU1701 to create a guitar preamp/effects rack. So i want to ask, if anybody have design such before?

I just want to have a look on the SigmaStudio files. Hardware isn't the problem. Hardware runs with a PIC controller.

Thanks,

Ramton

The ADAU1701 (and other similar SigmaDSP processors) can certainly be used in pro audio applications like guitar preamps. It is actually used in some guitar effects pedals currently in production. SigmaDSP and SigmaStudio are very capable of real-time processing like EQ, distortion, compression, gating, hard clipping, etc...

However, because of the limited data memory capabilities of the ADAU1701, it cannot create large audio delays that would typically be used for effects such as reverb and echo.

If you'd like to download SigmaStudio to try it out, please check this FAQ.
