Hi,

I've just updated my Windows 7 machine to run SigmaStudio 3.3, instead of using 3.2 in a VM.

First file I've tried to open (and quite an important one at that) gives me this error and doesn't load.

'Error reading graph from a file'

and

'Font 'Century Gothic' does not support style 'Regular''

Could this be from a probe module? I'm not quite sure what graph it's reading from a file. Theres no transducer module etc. present in the project, so shouldn't be reading in anything odd.

Edit: This happens with ANY file from 3.2 that i've tried to open.

Thanks,

Nick

Hello,

I received a similar report from a customer in Japan. In that case, I instructed the customer to check their Windows/Fonts folder and look for the Century Gothic font. It turned out that the customer did not have that font installed, or perhaps they deleted it. In any case, they re-installed the font and that solved the problem.

Please try re-installing that font to see if the problem is solved.

I'm going to check with the software team about this since you're now the second person to see the same issue.

Hi Brett,

Thanks. I'll let you know the outcome tomorrow.

It might be worth noting that I was running SigmaStudio within XP Mode on windows 7, as I'm on a 64-bit machine.

Hi Brett,

Yep, strangely enough I didn't have the font. This PC is under 6 months old, strange that one certain style of one font would be missing (I had century goth bold and italic, just not regular). Maybe a conflict with another application?

Either way, it worked, thanks!

Nick - You do not have to run SigmaStudio 3.3 in a virtual machine because you have a 64-bit OS. This version of SigmaStudio supports 64-bit Windows 7. It is a separate installer from the 32-bit version, but both are included in the download. Please see this post.

Sorry, I was vague.

I was running 3.2 in XP Mode on my 64-bit win7 machine. It was these files which I was having trouble opening in 3.3 on Windows 7.
