Does the SPDIF receiver in the ADAU1442/1445/1146 detect !EMPH and apply appropriate filtering? Neither the datasheet or the SigmaDSP help file remarks on this and there's no emphasis flag on SigmaStudio SpdifIn's block which could be used to toggle a de-emphasis filter (at least in SigmaStudio 3.1; haven't checked 3.2 or 3.3). So I'm guessing either the parts don't support de-emphasis or it's automatically handled. It would be helpful to know which.

The ADAU1442/ADAU1445/ADAU1446 SigmaDSPs do not detect pre-emphasis on the incoming S/PDIF audio stream and do not have the capability to apply a de-emphasis filter.

Hi,

On page 66 in ADAU1442/1445/1446 datasheet is written that you can read channel status bits.

Full channel status bits contains 192 bits (24 bytes).

First five are available in ADAU1442/1445/1446.

Information about de-emphasis can be read from first byte (address E0C2 in ADAU), bits 3-5 (000 - no emphasis, 100 - 50/15 ms pre-emphasis)
