Hello,

I want to know the maximum operating range of junction temperature of ADAU1401A.

Could you tell me it,please?

In datasheet, there is ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS(135 digree) only.

Best regards,

Takehiro Yabune

I'm not clear exactly what you're looking for here. The maximum junction temperature spec is only listed as an absolute maximum. This is the maximum temperature that's supported on the junction between the IC and the board for the ADAU1401A. The operating range of the ADAU1401A is -40 to 105 degC; this is shown in the ordering guide at the end of the datasheet.

Dear JeradL-san,

Thank you for your reply.

My understanding are

Device can't be broken under maximum absolute maximum temperature,

Device can do normal operation under operating maximum temperature.

Datasheet has

absolute maximum temperature of "Junction" (135 degree)

and

operating maximum temperature of "ambient".(-40~105 degree)

I want to know

operating maximumm temperature of "Junction".

Best regards,

Takehiro Yabune.

The ADAU1401A's specifications are guaranteed across the -40 to 105 ambient temperature range. The maximum junction temperature is just given as an absolute maximum setting. The specs are not characterized over a junction temperature range. Please see the note below the Absolute Maximum Ratings table that says:

"Stresses above those listed under Absolute Maximum Ratings may cause permanent damage to the device. This is a stress rating only; functional operation of the device at these or any other conditions above those indicated in the operational section of this specification is not implied. Exposure to absolute maximum rating conditions for extended periods may affect device reliability."

The maximum junction temperature is just given as a maximum temperature which should not be exceeded at the junction. It is not related to an operating range.
