Where can I find details of the sound engine on ADAU1381
Hello,
I have in mind using ADAU1381 in a sound system to automatically adjust the EQ with the power output.
I already have a homemade box with a DSP and a display to generate a pink noise and to calculate 'real time' FFT
Based on the displayed information I can manually adjust my equalizer to adapt the sound.
Next step is to automatically do this adjustment. I am interested in ADAU1381 because of its built-in sound treatment, but I need to know how the blocs are working. And I have not found it in the datasheet.
Thanks for your feedback

The user guide for the ADAU1381 evaluation board and sound engine can be found under the "Evaluation Boards/Tools" link on the ADAU1381 page. Here is a direct link to that document.
Please note that the ADAU1381 is a fixed-function codec optimized for applications such as digital camera audio processing. Most applications will require something different than its fixed signal flow and would be better-served by a codec with a SigmaDSP core, such as the ADAU1761 or ADAU1781.
Thanks for your help, I have found the informations in the EVM guide.
I also consider your suggestion to use ADAU1781.
Just one other question. I have set up a small project on SigmaStudio.
Compiler reports 108 MIPS used for an equalizer on this processor.
How do I know how many MIPS available on this target ? In other words, if I want to have 96kHz sampling freq, what is the max MIPS I can have ?
Thanks again
Dominique
The output window in SigmaStudio will show you the available MIPS and RAM resources for any project you compile. See this FAQ for further details. These resource numbers assume you are running at a 48 kHz sampling rate. If you are using fs=96 kHz, then your available resources will be half of what is shown in that window, so you should not exceed 50% utilization of any of the resources.
