Dear all,

maybe someone has an idea how to solve the following problem (I am using the ADAU1446):

- I have two audio inputs, "A" and "B", which are routed to an index selectable multiplexer

- the output of the multiplexer shall be input "A" if no signal on input "B" can be detected

- as soon as there's any signal detected on input "B", the output of the multiplexer shall switch to input "B".

so far so good - now the difficult issue:

- the multiplexer output shall remain input "B" for at least 2 - 5 seconds after the last signal on input "B" has been detected.

Any idea how to realize that? Anyone who can provide the schematic for that will make my day .-)

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Robin

I created a little example project for input monitoring here:

Monitoring average and instantaneous signal levels
That should help you to set up the monitoring section of the schematic.

For the timing, I would recommend the Timer w/ External Reset cell in SigmaStudio, which can be set to trigger a logic output a certain amount of time after it is activated. More information can be found in the help file:

Toolbox > Counters > Timer w/ External Reset
