Brettcoupe Question

Hi

If I capture the General 2nd order filter on 1941 chip and click the enable/disable button or set the frequency

the captured data is 5 sets of safeload writes BUT each write is only 4 bytes of data each. And Not 5 as required by safeload writes.

How is this handled? is one of the bytes Padded?

thanks

Brett

SigmaStudio's capture window shows the 4-byte parameter RAM word that is written using the safeload mechanism. As you noted, a safeload write includes five bytes of data, so this 4-byte parameter word is padded before the MSBs with zeros to extend it to a 5-byte length. This format is shown in Table 34 of the AD1941 datasheet.
