No audio input and output of ADAU1446(only J13,J5)
Hi,
I'm a novice of SigmaDSP and It's my first day to evaluate EVAL-ADAU1446.
To verify the board, I connect input to the output directly as the following.
Then I connect my MP3 and headphone to the board.
1. Connect MP3 to J12, J13,J14,J15 respectively, and headphone to J4;
only the J13 is abnormal, no sound can be heard from headphone.
2. Connect MP3 to J12, and headphone to J4,J5,J6.....J11 respectively;
only the J5 is abnormal, no sound can be heard from headphone;
Something wrong with my settings? or the Eval board is not OK?
Many thanks to some answers!
Some complementary info....
Pls note the level detector of the situation without sound.
First level detector is full scale, and mp3 to J13, headphone no sound.
Second level dector is normal, and headphone to J5, headphone still no sound.
Have you done the register configuration to route the audio and clocks?
No, I did nothing about the register about audio routine.
I only enabled all the serial input0~8, serial output0~8 under "Hardware configuration of ADAU144x Register Control".
Shen - have you followed the procedure in the evaluation board documentation for getting your first project set up? The eval board user guide (pdf link) has a detailed description, starting on page 3, of setting up the hardware and software to get your first project up and running. If you follow this, you should be able to get your board running with audio passing through.
Hi JeradL,
Yes, I have done many times according to Page 3~9, and the board is running with audio through
except using the second analog input port(J13) or the second output port(J5).
So I'm anxious to know why both second port are special.
Any suggestions are appreciated!
