Included with your SigmaStudio installation are some example files, many of which show uses of the GPIO pins. You can find these files on your PC at C:\Program Files\Analog Devices Inc\SigmaStudio 3.1\Sample Schematics

This application note (PDF link) also has a lot of details about implementing hardware controls to interface with the SigmaDSP. Of course, if you have further questions feel free to follow up here.

Jes ther are discribed many different applications, but allways with keys not with switches. You cannot connect the GPIO-Port directly to the mux (Why?). What is the correct way to do it?

best regards

Wolfgang

Hi Parizek,

Sorry for the long response time. Here's an example using a switch.

Note that you need to multiply the GPIO input switch (which is 0 or 1 in 5.23 format) by 1 in 28.0 format in order to properly convert the signal for use in the GPIO slew mux cell.
