I am on the list to get an I/O boad.

While waiting, I would like to use the GPIO pins (MP0-11) Is there something special I need to do beyond setting the information in the DSP Register Mode 1 screen?

Application Note AN-951 explains how to configure the MPx pins in the SigmaStudio software, as well as using external hardware to control these pins. This document should have all of the information you need to use these pins on your ADAU144x.
