I'm sure this is a simple question, but is there an easy way to supply a bias voltage to a mic input on the 1701? I was using the 1761 previously, and it provided it for me...

Thanks!

Freddie,

The ADAU1701 does not have a bias output for microphones. The common mode output (CM) is a 1.5 V bias for the converters, but it cannot supply the current necessary for a microphone. You could put an amplifier on either this or another dc bias source to supply the current that the microphones require.
