Hi Madwyn,
At this time, SigmaStudio is not supported in Windows 7. This FAQ will be updated as support for this OS is added in the future.

Different users have had different levels of success using Windows 7's XP virtual machine. Some people have been able to use this to install the software and use the USBi drivers to communicate with hardware, while others have not been so successful. We have not invested resources in debugging XP virtual machine installations as we're focused on getting SigmaStudio supported natively in Windows 7 in an upcoming release. We don't yet have a firm date when we can promise that version will be available, but I assure you that this is one of our software team's top priorities right now. We will keep you updated as we have software available to use.
We have just released an updated beta of SigmaStudio (version 3.3). This version includes support for Windows 7. Version 3.3 is available in both an x86 (32-bit) and x64 (64-bit) version. The download file includes both installers; please choose the appropriate one for your PC. Please note that as this is a beta version, there will still be some issues. For example, the splash screen that shows when you start SigmaStudio will still show version number 3.2, not 3.3.
