Hi, I'm designing a system with a ADAU1702 and better performance ADCs and DACs. Should I take the master clock from pin31 "OSCO" pass it thru a buffer/ inverter? and maybe increase a bit the 100 ohms resistor. Or I should generate the master clock outside and then feed it to pin 32 "MCLKI" as well as to the ADC and DAC MCLK input pins.

Gracias,

Jose

The better solution will be to use an external clock source and provide this common master clock to the ADAU1702 and the other converters in your system. If you add other components, like a buffer, to the crystal oscillator circuit, you will be increasing the capacitance on the traces and could affect the operation of the circuit.

Ok, I'll do that, it's safer and not expensive.

Thanks Jerad.
